: (1) The duties, duties and powers of the Appointment Committee shall be as follows:-
(a) Determining the percentage for filling up posts as per rule 9,
(b) fixing the syllabus of posts to be filled by open competition,
(c) Making a schedule of posts,
(d) prescribing the mode of examination,
(e) publishing advertisement for filling up posts,
(f) conducting the examination and publishing the results,
(g) recommending for appointment,
(h) To carry out other necessary tasks related to the filling of the posts as determined by the filling committee to be done by the general principles to be adopted when appointing and promoting the posts of the police service approved by the Public Service Commission.
(2) The Vacancy Committee may create and implement procedures for filling up positions through open competition in the police service as required.
(3) The physical fitness (obstacle) test must be taken in the name of the authorized representative appointed by the recruitment committee. The marks of the candidates who pass the examination should be kept under seal. The results kept sealed in this way shall be calculated only when the final result is published by the post-filling committee or other sub-committee appointed by the post-filling committee.
